The ArtistsElizabeth Parsons ELIZABETH PARSONS ELIZABETH PARSONS LORNE
JETTY, 1879 This is another watercolour that Elizabeth Parsons produced while on her visit to Lorne over the Christmas, New Year period in 1879-1880. It is typical of her beach scenes, with the dark trees on the foreshore, casting their shadows across the beach. To the left is a sailing ship making its way to the jetty, and in the centre distance is the jetty with what appears to be a large crane, possibly used for loading and unloading goods and livestock.
