This is another intimate work of the youngest of the Vale children, Faith, who was born in 1879. In this work she is nineteen years of age.

The work was exhibited in the May Vale Solo Exhibition, held in the Queens Hall in 1927, and was reviewed in The Herald, 11 October 1927.
