MORNING, 1894 One of the most popular of all the works that Withers painted, this work depicts Rosanna Road in the 1890’s. The work was painted from the rise above Salt Creek, at the intersection of Rosanna Road and Brown Street. Here is a view of old Heidelberg, with dairy cattle on Rosanna Road and in the distance Burgundy Street. Withers at this time was living in nearby Cape Street, Heidelberg.
